The expansion of social media has actualized their study. Social media has
become the main source of information. Such features of social media as digital code,
interactivity and integration directly affect the nature of interaction between users of social
networks and other information resources. The model of consumption of information is
also changing. Each user becomes a role of information producer and consumer at the
same time. The concept of participatory culture provides an illustration of this phenomenon. It is also possible to consider the space of network communities as an everyday third
place. The main purpose of being there is the creation of social capital. At the same time,
users are grouped by mutual opinions and interests, forming echo chambers.
