The article provides a comparative analysis of the description of the events of 1688–1689, known as the Glorious Revolution, in the textbooks of world history for the high school of the Soviet and post-Soviet period. The author compares the conceptual and factual basis of textbooks with the trends in the development of actual research on this topic. It is concluded that despite significant progress in Russian and world historiography of the Glorious Revolution, Russian educational literature on Modern history demonstrates adherence to established Soviet-era stamps, which certainly requires changes in approaches to the description of the Glorious Revolution.
