Today China is a highly developed market with many economic opportunities, which, in addition to providing great prospects for foreign companies, is a highly competitive environment. In order to master it, it requires certain costs, selection of an exit strategy suitable for a particular firm and knowledge of the specifics of the market. This article considers ways and possibilities for Russian companies to enter Chinese market on the basis of studying the policy of economic barriers between the two countries, logistics systems, ease of doing business index and analysis of experience of Russian companies which have already attempted to enter the PRC market. In the course of the study, the author finds that Russia has invested little in China over the past 10 years relative to the aggregate value of its investment spending. The lowest figure for investment was 2020; among the Russian consumer goods exported to China, the largest increase for
2016–2020 is observed in the clothing product group.
