In the era of globalization, the formation of a global science inevitably takes place, which presupposes both general renovation of the domain of psychology, new objects of research, as well as changes of the subject of the research activity the international scientific community. The concept of "global psychology" appeared in the international discourse and is being intensively developed since the 1990s. The formation of global psychological science determines not only processes of integration, but also processes of differentiation in science, so that theoretical models of human nature that have been firmly rooted in the mainstream in the second half of the twentieth century are now being called in question as well as methodological foundations of these theories. Global psychology is formed as a multipolar network, including very different centers, it appears not as a new integrate theoretical trend, but rather as a bifurcation reaction, as a divergent development of new and reinterpreted old psychological theories in an attempt to explain the new empirical realities generated by the era of globalization. It seems that global science can be defined as a new stage in the development of psychological science, generated by the new reality of the world, for the description of which the old theories are no longer suitable.

The discourse of global psychology is aimed at the formation of a discipline that can adequately respond to the challenges of the time, reflect the psyche of contemporary human being, who is living in the global world in the midst of intensive interaction of cultures. In the international science the discourse is generally positive and marked with the spirit of emergence of new schools and growth of diversity, of the liberation from the outdated dogmas. For the Russian psychological science it seems apropos to renounce isolationist tendencies, to participate in the dialogue, develop cooperation and integrate into the new stage in the development of psychological science. In the network of the global science, Russian psychology can take a worthy place, possessing a serious theoretical and methodological basis and knowledge of psychological characteristics of a multimillion people. At the same time, Russian psychology can and should preserve its unique character, its specificity, because it is by this uniqueness that it can be of interest and in demand for the international scientific community.
