The article is dedicated to Sevillian processional sculpture of the second half of the 17th century. It is analyzed as an original cultural phenomenon and an expression of the baroque ideology. The growth in the number of works of such kind is connected to the significant development of religious brotherhoods' activity. An attempt has been made to consider the development of this genre of sculpture in a wide sociocultural context, to reveal sources of influence and interference of sculptors and painters connected to Sevillian school, to study issues related to iconography. The emphasis is placed on the works of leading masters, such as Pedro Roldán (1624-1699) and Luisa Roldán (1652-1706), as well as artists of the second circle, including Luis Antonio de los Arcos (1652-1711) and Francisco Ruiz Gijón (1653-1720).
