The article presents the methodology of comparative research of the theoretical and pedagogical journalism schools phenomenon in former Soviet Republics and the results of its testing on the materials of the theoretical and pedagogical journalism schools, were formed on the basis of Faculty of Journalism of Belarusian State University (Republic of Belarus), Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Republic of Kazakhstan) and Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
