The article is dedicated to the Russian words existence in three ways: dictionary (how it should be), speech (how it is) and mental lexicon (how a person thinks it is). Basing on psycholinguistic experiments and Speech Corpus of Russian we show the differences of those three variants of a Russian word. We also postulate it is essential to explore and describe in lexicography its functions in a persons mind yet as in dictionaries and speecha.
