The main purpose of consideration in this paper is to identify the contradictions and problems arising in cases of comparison of international labor standards and Russian labor legislation on the provision of social guarantees to workers with an employment contract. Object of research are the relationships that arise between employer and employee at the stage of signing the employment contract during the discussion of its operation conditions. The article uses a comparative legal method when considering the rules of the Russian and international labor legislation governing the provision of certain guarantees to employees in determining their working hours. The main conclusion of article is that Russian labor legislation does not contain any exceptions in the regulation, as the normal working hours and part-time work meets the basic requirements of international standards, in our opinion.
