It is shown that he viewed perestroika as a natural stage in Russia{\textquoteright}s development, and his textbooks of that era introduced many managers and officials to the basics of the market economy. His unique approach consisted of adapting global scientific advances to Russian cultural and economic conditions. He is remembered as a generator of ideas, including the “second industrialization” program of Russia, which has begun to be implemented today.",
