The results of the study of psychological defenses in adolescents with learning difficulties in the process of fairy tale therapy. Used psychodiagnostic, psychosemantic method and forming the socio-psychological experiment. Adolescents who
do not participate in fairy tale therapy, increases the frequency of manifestations of
mechanisms of projection and regression. They dominated maladaptive defensive
style of behavior. Fairytale facilitates the integration of affective and cognitive components of protective behaviors. It enhances the realism of self-perception. By the
end of the year after playing for fairy tale therapy graduates of special (correctional)
school reduced the severity of non-constructive personal strategies. Fairytale helps reduce tension mechanism projections; integration of affective and cognitive components of protective behavior; a better understanding of the positive and negative
qualities of the people; formation less idealized representations of themselves and
others; expansion of social experience.
