The research is aimed to reveal specifc features of polycode text perception using the eye-tacking method. Participants were asked to read texts in
infographics and texts in verbal format. It is shown that infographics can be
considered as one of the types of a linguistic game, in which it is equivalent
to the alternative meanings of words or texts in the same communicative conditions. Polycode text can be used to remove ambiguity in educational texts
in teaching Russian as a foreign language
