The article is devoted to the use of the project method for teaching and assessing the formation of language skills, speech skills and soft skills of students in the field of psychology in teaching ESP. In the course of the experiment with the participation of students of the faculty of psychology, it was established that the project method is an effective approach not only in teaching ESP, but also can be used as a means of monitoring and assessing the level of formation of language competencies. The article presents the analysis of questionnaires of students and teachers.
