The article describes a model for conducting an express analysis of the compliance of the development of regional insurance markets with the needs of the respective regions in insurance protection. Its specificity is that it proposes a model for carrying out a one-time express analysis for a certain set of regions, which allows, on the basis of primary information, to simply obtain results that simultaneously characterize the development of insurance in the regions under study. This is important not only for a particular region, but also for assessing the development of the entire Russian insurance market. The model is based on the construction of ranked sequences of the studied regions according to two criteria - “the level of socio-economic development of the region” and “the level of development of the regional insurance market”. The qualitative conformity assessment itself is derived based on a comparison of the places obtained by each of the regions in these constructed sequences.
