Cross-language asymmetry in field of discourse related to tennis (French, English, Russian languages) This article focuses on inconsistencies of the plane of expression when describing by means of French, English and Russian languages certain situations related to tennis. In each of the above-mentioned languages a set of words and phrases reflecting concepts related to tennis, forms a term system. Special emphasis is laid on the units that coincide in French, Russian and English languages, as in French and Russian they are directly borrowed from English. The article addresses the functioning of linguistic units when keeping score (including tied score) on the first and the final stages of the game. It draws attention to a singularity of the English language when designating a zero result. The differences in the reflection of different stages of the game are related to the peculiarities of functioning of one language on the background of the other two, or are due to the special angle of perception of the situation in each of the languages.
