The author focuses on the fact that preliminary publication of thesis research results is a long-outdated rule based on the need to make public the data obtained by a researcher applying for an academic degree. Methodology: general scientific, dialectic, comparative, analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction. Conclusions. The author concludes that results and proposals worded by a young scientist in a scientific research should receive an approval and an evaluation of experts and be available to all interested parties. Digitization processes taking place in education and science force us to look at the existing rule from a different angle. The author notes the importance of a scientific publication, its form and content, link to research results. Scientific and practical relevance. Comprehension of long known phenomena in the paradigm of changes in the social relations may turn out to be useful for the development of proposals for increasing the scientific output of the institution of postgraduate studies.
