The problem of simulation modeling of information advancement in complex organizational systems is considered. In the article, a complex organizational system is understood as a social network within which information is disseminated. It is proposed to improve the adequacy of the work of an already existing mathematical model by changing its input parameters and changing statistical indicators in the social network VKontakte. An example is given illustrating the qualitative increase in accuracy in determining interval estimates of random variables in the simulation of information distribution scenarios.
