The article is devoted to application functioning of two kinds of the euphemistic models based on antiphrasis: the implicit-negative ones among which are neutral models with peace as a component and which are by nature stock paraphrases in the political discourse; and the expressive ones which exhibit ironical features. In that regard special attention has been given to the compressive application of such adjectives as menudo, bonito, dichoso, bueno etc. which receive opposite attitudinal meanings under definite context conditions. In this case it is syntactical means of an utterance formation that becomes more important: the elements play the role of components in the negative sentences-statements, defining their structural-semantic configuration. Also, it is worth noting that some euthemistic effect is considerably mitigating in the ironical antiphrasis usage. In both types of antiphrasis there is an implicit reference to the opposite euphemistically veiling meaning which can be decoded only in accordance with situational communication.
