A person in the organization daily encounters a large number of stressful factors of work, which negatively affect the emotional state, dispositions of the person and life activity. The purpose of the article is to consider the manifestation of perfectionism in working behavior. The methodology of the article is based on the analysis of perfectionism as a trigger for proactive working behavior. The results of the study show that perfectionism in professional activity can act both as a predictor of the development of proactivity in working behavior, and as a factor that reduces the proactivity of workers. Differences were found (Student's t-test) in terms of measured indicators, depending on the specifics of work and the position held by respondents. Using correlation analysis, positive relationships of perfectionism, the general level of burnout syndrome, and scales of the Organizational Stress method were found. Conclusions: the results obtained suggest that different types of perfectionism have different effects on proactive working behavior. The practical significance of the results is determined by the possibility of using them to maintain the professional health of a specialist: correction of the behavioral aspect of work, development of the ability to choose constructive strategies for behavior in stressful situations, formation of coping strategies, and effective coping with stressful events.
