The article is dedicated to problems of rural areas of Kransodar Krai. With every passing year, rural tourism is becoming more and more popular in the Russian Federation. Rural settlements choose tourism in order to solve the problem of diversifying a sector specific economy based on local potential. The began process of change of the sectoral structure of the rural economy requires new efficient forms of management. In recent years, there has been an oversaturation of the traditional tourist offer. Most of the citizens of the Russian Federation do not want to rest in the traditional way, therefore, new functional types of tourism have appeared and are intensively developing, such as: agrarian (rural, country). The article highlights the factors and limitations that affect the development of agritourism in the region. The authors proposed to create an online platform for solving the problem of the rural areas development.
