The article deals with the topical issues of terminology related to the difficulties of translating English terms. A loan translation is considered as the main type of their translation into Russian, which often leads to errors and distortion of the meaning of the translated terms. The article provides specific examples of inadequate translation of terms taken from the English-language online media.
