The article describes the experience of using a modular system of a non-specialized educational process in geographical education. The most close attention is paid to its three-year practical implementation. The developed version of the modular system of non-specialized education offered a significant expansion of the choice of the variable part of each cycle by students (it was almost 90 percent). It was assumed that the learning process will find out the benefits of the project (for example, interdisciplinarity, flexibility and competition within the modules). However, it turned out certain problems in the use of this project.
