The article is dealing with the Spanish humoristic speech clichés which exist in dialog units. These clichés are caused by the situation and possess stable illocutive strength. They are widely represented in different acts of speech and have various pragmatic functions. The analysis of the material shows that the rhyme is the source of comic effect in many cases. Connections with the literary texts, folklore, mythology, world of cinema, circus etc. were found in some speech clichés. Paremiological dialogisms and vellerisms characterized with the absurdity of the situation according to the logical connections between their elements and unprobable relations between its participants are also present in Spanish colloquial speech.
