The article provides a brief overview of the current situation in the creative industry of the Russian Federation. The nuances of using the concept of "creative industry" and its constituent industries are considered. The assessment of the Russian market of creative goods and services was carried out on several points: industries, creative goods and services, as well as creative professions. The probable reasons for the development of the creative industry and the factors that will further contribute to it are identified.
