The purpose of the study is to present a theoretical and analytical review of works on the topic of translation transformations in Russian translation studies within the framework of a scientific discussion. The article discusses various approaches to the definition of translation transformations in Russian translation studies: linguistic approach, logical-formal approach; functional-communicative approach; information approach; semiotic approach. The material of this article demonstrates different, contradictory views on the development of scientific ideas about translation transformations, and also indicates the difficulty of defining a single metalanguage of translation theory in general and translation transformations in particular. The scientific novelty of the work consists in a comprehensive diachronic presentation of various approaches to the study of the problems of translation transformations in Russian translation studies from the middle of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century. According to the results of the review, it can be concluded that there is still no consensus in Russian translation studies on the essence of the concept of translation transformations. There is also no single typology of translation transformations. If earlier works are of a fundamental theoretical nature, then the works of recent years are distinguished by a more practice-oriented, applied orientation.Цель исследования – представить теоретико-аналитический обзор работ по теме переводческих трансформаций в отечественном переводоведении в рамках научной дискуссии. В статье рассматриваются различные подходы к определению переводческих трансформаций в отечественном переводоведении: лингвистический подход; логико-формальный подход; функционально-коммуникативный подход; информационный подход; семиотический подход. Материал настоящей статьи демонстрирует различные, противоречивые взгляды на развитие научных представлений о переводческих трансформациях, а также указывает на сложность определения единого метаязыка теории перевода в целом и переводческих трансформаций в частности. Научная новизна работы состоит в комплексном диахроническом представлении различных подходов к исследованию проблематики переводческих трансформаций в отечественном переводоведении с середины XX века до начала XXI века. По результатам обзора можно заключить, что в отечественном переводоведении до сих пор нет единого мнения о сущности понятия переводческих трансформаций; не существует и единой типологии переводческих трансформаций; а также если более ранние работы носят фундаментальный теоретический характер, то работы последних лет отличает более практико-ориентированная, прикладная направленность.
