Describing the period of Austrian dominance Father Kassian also gives note to the socio-political situation and the persecution of the patriots of Holy Rus' by the Austrian authorities. He sheds light on the church-religious life in Bukovina during WWI, the oppression by the Austrian authorities of the Orthodox clergy for their sympathy towards Russia.",
