The research methodology included the use of in-depth interview method in framework of the qualitative research. The method of in-depth interview was based on the voluntary participation of 10 respondents. As a result of the empirical research the authors made the following conclusions: women are motivated to start a business due to the desire of creative self-realization; the development of a personal brand is a crucial factor both to attract partners and to increase customer trust; if for men the main purpose of doing business is to making money, for women is equivalent to a number of purposes including self-realization, communication with people, making money and recognition in society.",
