On November 26-27, the X (anniversary) scientific-practical conference "Obdoriya. Contemporary scientific research in the Arctic" was held. The conference was attended by over 80 scientists and specialists representing the Russian Academy of Sciences, university science, regional research centers and engineering companies. Five sections worked at the conference: "Water-environmental problems of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District", "Sustainable development of the Arctic regions: economy, education, human potential", "Socio-cultural and economic problems of the indigenous peoples of the North", "Natural resources, modern climate change and transformation of the permafrost zone", "Ecology and rational nature management, environmental problems".
