The article is devoted to the development of Altai Territory (Russian Federation) as a transboundary region with the involvement of productive capacity and opportunities of the neighboring region - East Kazakhstan Region (Republic of Kazakhstan). In this study, the authors examine theoretical foundations of the formation of regional economic integration and trends, as well as problems and prospects for the development of the Eurasian Economic Union. The article shows the development of a transboundary region in the context of the growth poles theory. Agricultural machinery is presented as the main branch of cooperation between Altai Territory and East Kazakhstan region. The article calculates the needs of agricultural organizations of Altai Territory and East Kazakhstan in the field of agricultural machinery. The authors also consider the development of agricultural machinery of Altai Territory and adjacent territories. The article reveals the organizational form of enterprises' management falling within the local development axis and shows the effect of these enterprises functioning.
