The collection includes materials of the following St Petersburg State University scientific events: Bilateral and Multilateral Regional Interaction in the Arctic (2020- 2021); the Synergy of Languages and Cultures: Interdisciplinary Studies International Conference, the Arctic Region Peoples: Today's Sociolinguistic Context section (2020- 2021). As a pilot project of the St Petersburg State University and the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts scientists, the collection also includes socio-philosophical publications of the Arctic Art & Culture magazine. The SAON extract of the Joint Statement of Ministers on the occasion of the Third Arctic Science Ministerial (9 May 2021, Tokyo, Japan) with commentary as a theme for discussion and continue previous edition of the St Petersburg University Press on arctic issues (2017, 2020) is given as an annex. The published materials will help to understand the Arctic knowledge space and to develop strategic scientific planning for the development of the Russian North and the Arctic. The publication is addressed to the representatives of social and natural sciences, specialists in the field of international cooperation, ecologists and other researchers of the North and the Arctic.
