The Russian market is attractive for foreign companies. However, in recent years, there have been significant changes in the national representation of foreign companies. This is due to the changing geopolitical interests and position of Russia: the imposition of sanctions and the further development of relations between Russia and China. At the same time, Chinese high-tech companies have taken the most active development in the Russian market. The article is devoted to the issues of strategy formation and assessment of the importance of strategic decisions in the development of international and regional markets. Conclusions and recommendations of the work are based on the results of research using the case study method and in-depth interviews. Paradigm models were formed and recommendations were developed for strengthening the positions of Chinese high-tech companies Haier and Huawei in the Russian market, directions for strategic development and management were identified.
