IR spectra of the CF3CCH...N(CD3)3 complex dissolved in liquid argon were studied in large optical paths (l̄2 m). All relatively broad bands (Δ1/2≥30 cm-1) were ascribed to CH vibrations and their shapes were interpreted within the framework of a unified approach to the interaction of CH vibrations with low-frequency intermolecular modes. Occurrence of a triple resonance in the overtone region lends support to the conclusion that the Evans hole in the complicated contour of the v7 CH bending mode results from the Fermi resonance v7 ≈v8+v10 in the CF3CCH molecule.
