The paper explores the possibility of forecasting such dangerous meteorological phenomena as a thunderstorm by applying a neural network to the output data of a hydrodynamic model that simulates dynamic and microphysical processes in convective clouds. The results show that the use of the proposed approach allows us to achieve a forecast accuracy of 91.6%. This accuracy was obtained using one of the perceptron complexes.
