T-odd moments of the xenon, mercury and thallium nuclei, due to T-nonconserving nuclear forces, are calculated. From the measurement of the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the 129Xe atom we extract a limit on the T-noninvariant nucleon-nucleon interaction. This limit approaches in its implications the limit on the neutron EDM.
