N2 - In this chapter, we propose a way of describing the motion of a rigid body, derive formulas for calculation of the velocity and acceleration of any point of the body in a general case of its motion. Important particular cases of the motion of a rigid body are considered (translational motion, rotation about a stationary axis, rotation about a stationary point, planar motion).
