Novel hybrid chlorobismuthate(III) with “captured” dibromine, (1-MePy)₃{[Bi₂Cl₉](Br₂)} (1), was isolated and characterized by X-ray diffractometry, thermogravimetric analysis and Raman spectroscopy. The features of non-covalent interactions in solid state were investigated by theoretical methods.
