Contemporary interdisciplinary research provides substantial data to assert that the issue of language origin has ceased to be fully speculative. One of the prospective approaches is to view human language capacity as a result of gradual mental abstraction acquisition and semiotic competence growth in terms of the distributed cognition increase after the first protocultures emerged.
