This article is about comparing the transcriptions of Psalm 1 in Psalter into Czech and Polish. The Bible kralická, the Czech ecumenist translation, the trans la tion of Fajman re pre sen ting the Czech hym no lo gi cal tradition and the trans crip tions of psalms into Polish by Jakub Wujek, Jan Ko cha nowski and Czesław Miłosz are con si - de red. The stylistic analysis suggests that the Hussite tradition is strong in Czech hymnology. The latter suggests utmost sim pli ci ty and ac ces si bi li ty of un der stan ding of biblical texts. Polish tradition preserves the ambiguity of biblical word, and the as - so cia ted ambiguity in in ter pre ta tion of the nuances of biblical text. The ar ran ge ments of Kochanowski employ more complex me ta pho ri ci ty and tend to clarify the text of the Psalm.
