N2 - Two quasi-independent subsystems are allocated in the system of equations of the generalized dynamic thermoelasticity. There are elastic and thermal subsystems. The authors give an analysis of systems in terms of the dispersion functions. Dispersion function of such a system is complex, suggesting the existence of dissipation.
