Nonrelativistic and relativistic variational calculations of energies and ionization potentials of the ground state of helium-like ions with nuclear number Z = 2-20 have been performed. All leading corrections to the total energy have been calculated, including the contribution of electron correlations, relativistic and quantum-electrodynamics corrections, and contributions due to the finite nuclear size (field shift) and finite nuclear mass (nuclear recoil) effects. Relativistic wave functions were calculated using the Dirac-Coulomb-Breit Hamiltonian.
