Abstract: Animal models play a key role in biomedical research, enabling the study of disease mechanisms and the assessment of novel therapies, with precise genetic models being especially critical for rare hereditary disorders like hemophilia B. These models allow for detailed investigation of pathogenesis, evaluation of drug efficacy, and the development of innovative treatments, including gene and cell therapy. This review summarizes currently avail- able hemophilia B laboratory animal models, including spontaneously mutated and genetically engineered strains.
