N2 - A number of frequency-domain criteria for analysis of the locking-in problem in various fields of mechanics and engineering are presented. The problem of the locking-in frequency of auto-oscillations to the frequency of external harmonic force is a classical problem of nonlinear oscillations theory. The locking-in problem is also the fundamental problem in the control theory of oscillators.
