N2 - Yeast [PSP] factor is the best characterized prion determinant. There are different variants of the [PSP] factor that differ in their properties and are denoted as "weak" and "strong" [PSP] variants. We demonstrated that the lethal effect of the [PSP] factor in the presence of the mutations in SUP45 gene depends on the properties of [PSP] as well as on the properties of sup45 mutations.
