The geoecological study of carbon dioxide emission from the soil surface on the territory of the carbonic polygon “Seven Larch” in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO) was carried out. The study showed that two types of ecosystems prevail on the territory of the polygon: southern tundra and forest tundra. The highest carbon dioxide emissions (367 (gC)/(m2*year)) are recorded for Turbic Histic Cryosol (Dystric) . CO2 absorption reaches 59 (gC)/(m2*year). The study results are presented in the form of calculations and maps created in the QGIS program
