Conditional 1 is analyzed within the new holistic approach to language as a form of cognitive behaviour aimed at the adaptation to the environment at the moment of speech. Speech context and perception of a person serve as the key elements in interpretation of language. The method of the research is the cognitive analysis of language. This type of a sentence is showed to represent both a structural knowledge of a speaker and a direct and indirect experience of an observer.
