Diospyros lotus is characterized by high light requirements and regular shoot complexes dying off. Major processes in mature tree crown development are circles of large branches aging and rejuvenation, branch falling and regular latent bug initiation. It results to formation of crown similar to umbrella with flexuous branches axis and inhomogeneous shoot diameter.
