The results of the 2004 Census of Moldova and the statistics of the State Enterprise «Centre for State Information Resources "Registru" » are compared in the article. According to the statistics of the State Enterprise «Centre for State Information Resources "Registru" » the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who declared Russian as their mother tongue are much higher then the results of the Census and much lower than those who call themselves Rumanians and their mother tongue as Rumanian. All personal statistics, including those which regard nationality and mother tongue are documented by the citizen himself and then verified.
