This paper is one of the first steps towards solving legal problems arising out of technology of Internet of things. On the other side since the Internet of things is a modern technology it is also required to define barriers that can prevent the development of Internet of things. The authors make a conclusion that Internet of things is subject to traditional legal problems of information and telecommunication relationships and to the set of new ones. The authors suggest the following systematization of legal problems of Internet of things and define the set of principles of legal regulation of Internet of things. Based on specific examples, the authors draw a conclusion that effective legislation is not enough to regulate the contemplated problems and suggest general approaches to each of the main legal problems.
