The authors attempt to analyze the theoretical basis of the revolution and assess the possibility of its implementation in real policy, which will answer the question of how strong was the ideological foundation of the Glorious Revolution in the development of social and political sphere in England. The article concludes that the Glorious Revolution did not have an ideological heritage by its beginning, and the revolutionaries did not seek to build a new society, believing that they protect the old English rights and freedoms. But illegal actions of the Prince of Orange and his supporters from the constitutional point of view became the reason for the formation of their own theoretical base and the justification for the Glorious Revolution post factum. Appeared on the basis of revolutionary measures theory of the English revolution concerned the relationship of institutions of power, especially between the King and Parliament, what is seen in the Bill of Rights. But flexibility of the revolutionary settlement led the interpretation of the principles of the Glorious Revolution to became very important in the long eighteenth century. This allowed politicians to interpret the norms of the Constitution, struggling for their own political goals and changing the system of relations between the branches of power. These steps can be considered the practice of the Glorious Revolution, as these actions were based on the justification of the events of the late 1680s. It is the latitude of interpretations that has strengthened the foundation of the Glorious Revolution, which has become a convenient ideological basis for current policy, not limited to strong ideological constraints.
