This article provides an overview of the research articles in the field of financial convergence and the emerging global ecosystems, which are indexed in the global citation database Web of Science for the period from 2017 up to 2021. According to the search and the results obtained, the total number of publications on both topics in the field of “Business Economics” (2217 results) and the total number of citations were increasing at a certain time interval. In the country context, the global leaders in both topics are China and the United States, together representing about 30% of the total number of publications in the WOS database. The role of researchers from the Russian Federation is rather weak - the number of publications in the total number is about 2%. Then, an analysis of modern scientific literature on the topics “financial convergence” and the “ecosystem” was carried out, considering the latest Russian publications included in the RSCI. It is concluded that with the continuing dynamics of interest in these topics, the number of publications will increase. In general, the topic of financial convergence and the formation of ecosystems in global markets needs further research.
