The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the main problems that one has to face when learning a business language in higher education institutions, as well as in the framework of language courses, and to suggest using the lexogram method for learning at levels A2-B1, which is thoroughly considered by the authors in the article. The article also analyzes coursebooks used at studying business language in terms of their correspondence to the real requirements of business communication and their practicality and effectiveness for the ESP teacher. As a result, it is concluded that due to the lexogram method, it is possible to teach less advanced students business communication more effectively.
